Safety Notice - “Miniature LED Christmas Fairy Lights for Model Railways and Dioramas”

Important safety notice regarding certain battery-operated fairy lights previously supplied by ModelSigns


We have been made aware of a GOV.UK product recall concerning certain battery-operated fairy lights, relating to the security of the button battery compartment.

This notice applies only to certain copper wire fairy lights which are powered by CR2032 button cell batteries.

While we have not independently identified the same issue in the products we supplied, the CR2032-powered lights are visually very similar to the recalled type. These lights were also sourced from a number of different wholesalers. As part of our commitment to customer safety, we are therefore erring on the side of caution and making potentially affected customers aware.

If you have one of these CR2032-powered lights supplied by ModelSigns, our advice is to stop using it immediately and keep it out of reach of children. We sold these under the name “Miniature LED Christmas Fairy Lights for Model Railways and Dioramas” and under the SKUs MS-XMASLED-WW-**, MS-XMASLED-MC-**.

 

Customers who believe they may have purchased one of these lights from us are asked to please get in touch by email with:

  • a photo of the item
  • a photo of the battery pack
  • an approximate purchase date, or details of where it was bought from us

Once received, we will review the details, arrange a refund where applicable, and advise on the next steps.
